Fitting the RearGuard ROAD
- If your RearGuard doesn't come with the strap already fitted, then feed the hook and loop strap through the slots as shown on the RearGuard with the hook and loop side facing upwards (outside) NB: the holes are designed to be a tight fit to stop the hook and loop sliding when fitting
- Pinch / bend the sides of the RearGuard hard and slide through the rear seat rails
- Then push both the arms and the hook and loop strap over the top of the saddle rail both sides from the inside. NB: you can be aggressive if tight, its important all 4 arms and the hook and loop strap sit on the OUTSIDE of the rail
- Now loop the hook and loop strap through the plastic buckle and attach loosely ensuring that the plastic buckle finishes up between the rails
- This next bit is important, once loosely fitted you need to undo and hold the hook and loop strap with one hand, and then push the guard in from the rear whilst tightening the hook and loop strap back up TIGHT to finish
NB: Optimal fit is where the front of the guard pushes on the top of the seatpost although this is not essential, the fit and profile of the rear of the mudguard will vary from saddle to saddle
Removal
- Simply undo the hook and loop strap, pinch the sides of the RearGuard hard until all 4 arms have popped back over the saddle rail, and then pull out backwards. Our REARGUARD is designed, manufactured, and packed in the UK
Important
- This mudguard is not suitable for riding off the back of the saddle. THE HOOK AND LOOP STRAPS MUST BE TIGHT AND OUT OF THE WAY OF ANY CLOTHING.
- BE CAREFUL not to kick the RearGuard when getting on and off the bike as this may cause damage or injury.
- RapidRacerProducts Ltd accepts no liability for damage/injury caused to persons/equipment/clothing due to improper fitting.

The RRP RearGuard could be the perfect product for you, doing a good job of keeping your rear end protected from wheelspray. Unlike the Ass Saver, the RRP RearGuard has the added security of a hook and loop strap, which means that you don't get back at the end of a ride to discover that your mini-mudguard has fallen off mid-ride (something that I've experienced a number of times with the Ass Saver. As an added bonus it is seriously cheap. Surely £8.99 is a price worth paying for a dry bum this winter
